A radical new take on the enduringly fascinating and disturbing opera by Richard Strauss, featuring the famous ‘Dance of the Seven Veils’ and touring to nightclubs and cabaret spaces in Autumn 2027.

Exploring the wild hedonism of Oscar Wilde’s original text, a new English libretto will expose themes of gender identity and ableism. With a new chamber orchestration mixing acoustic and electronic sound, this Salome aims to bring the audience right to the centre of the tragedy and be as heady and challenging today as the original was for audiences of the time.
